FRICTION TAPE

Inspired by agitators

1 note &

Keith Olbermann takes a lot of flak from the right, but I’m thankful for him being the first national media figure to mention the devastating floods in my hometown two and a half years ago. Anderson Cooper and CNN subsequently followed suit.

I thought of this today because we’re seeing wall-to-wall coverage of Sandy’s devastation in New York, and parts of New Jersey. What about Delaware? What about people in West Virginia and western North Carolina who are buried under snow?

Hypothesis: Having media outlet headquarters geographically condensed in Manhattan is bad for news coverage.

Discuss.
